This policy explains how SlowFast LLC (“we”) collects and uses information when you use Listera (the “Service”). It applies to the website at listera.io and to anyone using Listera, signed in or not.
1. What we collect
We collect three kinds of information:
1.1. Information you give us
- Account info — your name and email address when you sign up. Authentication is handled by Clerk; passwords are stored by Clerk, not by us.
- Workspace and content — the listings, products, brands, mockups, storefront drafts, comments, share links, and uploads you create in the Service.
- Billing info — your billing email and the plan you’re on. Card numbers are handled by Stripe; we never see them.
- Things you tell support — emails, screenshots, or chat messages you send us.
1.2. Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — what pages you visit, what features you use, when you sign in, errors you hit. Used to keep the Service running and to figure out what to improve.
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser, operating system, approximate location (country / region from IP), and screen size.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for the full list.
1.3. Information from other services
When you import an Amazon listing by URL or ASIN, we fetch public listing data from Amazon to render your preview. When you sign in with a third-party identity provider, we receive the basic profile your provider shares with us (name, email, avatar URL).
2. How we use your data
We use the information above to:
- run the Service — show you your previews, save your work, render exports, send share-link emails;
- create and manage your account, take payment, and send you receipts;
- answer support requests and tell you about important changes (security, billing, policy updates);
- keep the Service safe — detect abuse, prevent fraud, enforce our Acceptable Use Policy;
- improve the product — understand which features are useful, debug crashes, plan what to build;
- comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal data. We don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t use it to train third-party AI models.
3. Legal basis (for EU/UK users)
If you’re in the EU or UK, our legal basis for processing your data is:
- Performance of a contract — for everything we need to do to provide the Service (run your account, save your work, take payment).
- Legitimate interests — for keeping the Service safe, debugging errors, and understanding aggregate usage.
- Consent — for non-essential analytics and any optional marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — when we have to keep records or respond to legitimate legal requests.
5. Where your data is stored
SlowFast LLC is based in the United States and our primary data storage is in the United States. If you’re outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and stored in the U.S. We rely on the standard transfer mechanisms recognised by your local law (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable) to make sure your data is treated with the same protections it would have at home.
Enterprise customers can request EU data residency — ask us at privacy@listera.io.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your workspace content within 30 days, except where we have to keep something longer (for example, billing records for tax purposes, or audit logs we’re required to keep).
Backups are kept for up to 30 days and then rotated out. Anonymised, aggregated data (the kind that doesn’t identify you) may be kept longer for analytics.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your data, including the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it if it’s wrong;
- delete it (the “right to be forgotten”);
- get a copy of it in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain types of processing;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@listera.io from the email address on your account. We’ll respond within the time required by your local law (usually 30 days).
If you’re in the EU or UK and you think we’ve mishandled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority. We’d rather you came to us first so we can fix the problem — but it’s your right.
8. California residents
If you live in California, you have the rights described above plus a couple more under the CCPA/CPRA: to know what categories of personal info we’ve collected and the purposes, to know who we’ve shared it with, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal info as those terms are defined under California law. We don’t sell personal info, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You won’t be treated worse for exercising any of these rights.
9. Children
Listera is not for people under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has signed up, email privacy@listera.io and we will delete the account.
10. Security
We use standard industry safeguards to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS everywhere), encryption at rest for our databases and file storage, access controls on our systems, and audit logging. No service can promise perfect security, but we take this part of our job seriously.
If we ever discover a breach that affects your personal data, we’ll let you know as soon as we reasonably can, and as required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll change the “effective” date at the top and, for material changes, give you notice in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated policy.
